Sisyphus

Greek myth · King of Corinth · Sisyphus

For offending the gods he was condemned to push a boulder up a hill. Each time it nears the top it rolls back down, and he must begin again, forever. Camus said: one must imagine Sisyphus happy.

“One must imagine Sisyphus happy.”

Why they are here: Endless repetition with no progress — the final form of boredom.
