Support — Jellyquake

Jellyquake is a casual 3D game for iPhone. A jelly wobbles on the screen; you shake your phone and it shatters into pieces. The more pieces you break, the higher your score.

You do not need an account, and there are no ads and no in-app purchases. The game works fully offline — the only optional online part is the Game Center leaderboard.

Frequently asked questions

How do I play?

Tap START GAME on the home screen, choose one of the four modes, then tap START. Hold the phone in your hand and shake it. Each shake breaks pieces off the jelly; when it is broken up, the round ends and you are scored on how many pieces you broke.

The jelly does not move when I shake

The game reads your phone's motion sensor, so it has to be in your hand — shaking a phone that is lying on a table will do nothing.

What are the four modes?

How do I unlock new jellies?

Two collections unlock as you play: five shapes (circle, star, triangle, ellipse, square) and five flavours (pink, lime, grape, orange, blueberry). They unlock automatically once your total number of broken pieces reaches each threshold. Tap Change jelly on the mode screen to see the collection and switch.

How does the combo work?

Break pieces in quick succession and a combo multiplier builds up, which increases your score. If you pause for too long, the combo resets. The best combo of the round is shown on the result screen.

My score and progress disappeared

Progress is stored locally on your device only. Deleting and reinstalling the app clears it, and it is not restored from anywhere, because we have no server and no account system.

The leaderboard says "Ranking unavailable"

The leaderboard comes from Apple's Game Center, so it needs you to be signed in:

  1. Open Settings → Game Center and sign in.
  2. Reopen Jellyquake and tap RANKING on the home screen.

If you would rather not use Game Center, the game is fully playable without it — the board simply shows your own score.

I earned an achievement but it is not in the list yet

Newly added achievements can take a while to appear in Game Center. Give it some time and check again. If an achievement you have clearly earned never appears, email us and tell us which one.

How do I open the full leaderboard or the achievement list?

Tap RANKING on the home screen, then:

Both screens are provided by Apple, and both need you to be signed in to Game Center.

I cannot hear any sound

Does it work offline?

Yes. The whole game works in airplane mode. The only thing that needs a connection is Game Center, which is optional.

Does Jellyquake collect my data?

No. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The only thing that leaves the device is your score, and only if you are signed in to Game Center — and that goes to Apple, not to us. See the privacy policy for the full detail.

Where is my progress stored?

Only on your own device. If you delete the app, your score, unlocked jellies, and progress are deleted with it. Jellyquake has no server and no account, so nothing is synced and nothing can be recovered from us.

What happens if I get a phone call while playing?

The game pauses, and sound stops. When the call ends, reopen the app and carry on — your progress in the round is not affected.

How much does it cost? Are there subscriptions?

Jellyquake is free. There is no subscription, no account, no advertising, and no in-app purchases. You cannot spend money inside the game.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple Account you used, and request a refund.

What are the requirements?

Jellyquake requires an iPhone running iOS 15.0 or later. It is an iPhone-only app — it does not have a separate iPad layout.

Something is not working

If the screen stays blank or the game will not start:

  1. Close the app completely (swipe up from the bottom and flick it away), then open it again.
  2. Check that iOS is up to date.
  3. Restart your iPhone.
  4. If you recently installed the app, try deleting and reinstalling it — progress is local, so you will start fresh.

If none of that helps, email us with your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you saw on screen.
