Chinese Antiquities Jigsaw

Getting started

  1. Open the app. The first hall, The First Signs, is free.
  2. Tap an artifact to start its puzzle.
  3. Drag pieces from the tray at the bottom onto the board. A piece snaps into place when it is close enough — you do not need to be precise.
  4. As pieces land, the artifact is gradually “cleaned”: the dirt recedes and the drawing appears.
  5. Finish the puzzle to see the whole object, its museum label, and a short question about it.

A hint places one piece for you. It is recorded on your result but never blocks you from finishing.

Why can I only play three puzzles?

The first three artifacts are free and unlock one after another as you finish each one. A single purchase unlocks the remaining 27 across five halls. It is a one-time purchase: no subscription, nothing auto-renews, and no coins or energy.

I bought it before — how do I get it back?

Tap Restore purchase on the unlock screen. This works after reinstalling the app or moving to a new device.

If it still does not unlock, make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used for the purchase, then try again.

Can I change the language?

Yes. Tap the globe button at the top right of the home screen and choose English or Simplified Chinese. The app follows your device language by default.

Note: the app name on your home screen follows your device language, not this in-app switch.

Is there sound?

Yes — pieces click as they land, and there is a short chime when an artifact is finished. You can turn it off in the same panel as the language setting. Volume follows your device volume; there is no separate slider.

Why does the app say the drawings are not photographs?

Because they are not. Every illustration is drawn by hand from a real museum object. We say so on every artifact card, because it would otherwise be easy to mistake a drawing for a photograph of the object itself.

Does it work offline?

Yes, completely. The app downloads nothing and needs no connection to play. The only network use is Apple's own App Store purchase check.
